Cleaning out my Bloggy Closet

As you may have noticed my blog has a new look. I'd like to thank the ever talented Jill for the new header. I adore vintage tattoos (and am considering getting a sparrow soon) so this was perfect! Teeni commented that she missed the "now let's go shopping"...I think I do too...but I also miss "quick get the duct tape". I agonize over this stuff wayyyyy too much. I'm just trying to find a theme that works for me and that I can leave alone.

Anywho. You may have noticed that I have been posting very often or visiting as frequently. There are several reasons for this. For starters the "man" pretty much has me on lock down during the 9-5. Then, you have the fact that I am freaking lazy. Top it off with the HOURS I spend reading and writing and it just became too much. I started to not even care if I posted and felt way too much guilt about not commenting. So basically I am giving myself 30 minutes a day to read and post. Anymore than that and I find I am neglecting other things that I enjoy doing and giving up much needed sleep.

So hopefully you will still love me!!!

  1. eh, the blogging...it goes in cycles for everyone. Except for the people that actually make money doing it (because they have to be prolific) but then I kinda feel the mystical essence of it fades a bit when blogging becomes a job. No worries! We'll be here checking on you.

  3. LOL. Loved Witchypoo's comments.

I guess I started coming around after the "quick get the duct tape." I love that too. :)

Oops, my link is broken. But thanks! And don't worry about the blogging stuff. It shouldn't seem like an obligation. You just do what you can and we will continue to love you and do what we can. :) Everyone has to live their lives too, so no pressure!

  5. Blogging is for fun, not work... so if your feeling overwhelmed by it than limit away honey!
I only have a limited amount of blogs that i peek in on each day, my little group of 'friends'... anymore and it would get to be too much.
But we will all still check in on you and be joyful when you post!

  6. I understand how that goes Zoe. That is why I haven't been blogging in a while....just to dang busy!

I love to blog something, but there also are OTHER things I enjoy as well and you just have to pick and choose.

I will still check in for your posts!

  7. Gawd, I hate you! Just kidding. I'm actually feeling the same way right now. I seriously don't have time to read and comment on everything and that leads to guilt because these lovely people comment on my blog. Ahhh, gotta love it. Really, you have to prioritize and it sounds like you are doing what you need to do. Don't worry about us crazies stalking our readers for a post from Zoe!

  8. No worries...I have been a super slacker lately about blogging. In fact, I am wondering if I still have readers. They have probably given up on me.

I am still reading. :) We still luv ya!

  9. I understand completely! I'd get a lot more done during the day if I stayed away from the computer completely!I think your 30 minutes per day is a good rule!

  12. I've come to the realization that if I have nothing to say, it's OKAY not to blog. It took me a while to realize that though. LOL

  13. I couldn't agree more. Sometimes there is just nothing to say. Other times things are just way to busy out of the blogosphere! I will still be here and I will still look forward to reading here and there. There should be no pressure. Like a good friend, no matter how much time goes by, you should be able to pick up where you left off!

  14. Not caring is healthy!

I actually write all of my posts on Saturdays. Each day I go over that days post and polish it a bit before posting. And now, thanks to the Reader, I only spend about 30 minutes a day reading other blogs.

  15. I'll still love you if you make sure to visit MY blog. Heh.

I'm having the same blogging issue. Suddenly, I have a gazillion people reading my blog - which is awesome - but I can't keep track of all of 'em anymore.

BTW, I think a sparrow tattoo would be so cool! Be sure to post pics if you ever do it.

  18. I didn't get on the computer AT ALL yesterday and when I got to my reader, I had over 200 new posts to go through. It was exhausting and I didn't comment everywhere I normally do.

Interestingly enough, my blog stats took a hit. I panicked for about 3 seconds and got over it. you know what? I blog for me. If anyone else gets any enjoyment out of it, good for them.
