Curfew Violation

It's 1:15 in the morning. Do you know where your teenager is? Cause I have no freakin clue. Amonte had a date today that fell through. Against my better judgement I let him go out to a teen night club. His dad picked him up at 8:30 and dropped him off there. He was to pick him up. I put minutes on Amonte's phone to be sure I could get a hold of him. No answer on his phone or his dad's. I'm tired of playing on his laptop and want to go to bed. But can I? Umm. No. Not until I know he is home safe and sound.

This had been a pretty good day. Peyton stayed at his friend's house last night. So Cade and I got up early and went to breakfast and then went to one of those "paint your own pottery places". Cade made a robot and I made a cupcake. We had a really nice time and he looked so cute with his new faux-hawk hairdo. He is such a loving and sweet boy when we are alone.

Then we picked up Peyton and came home. Since it is the weekend Peyton was pretty much absorbed in his video games, as was Cade. All of the little ones were asleep by 8. Which left me with a very quiet house! I should have done laundry, paid bills, scrapbooked, cleaned...anything. But I sat on the couch with Amonte's lap top, drank a Coke and listened to music. so very nice and relaxing.

Until now. I'm gonna kick another hole in his ass...as soon as I find him.

  3. HAH! I can totally relate. Sounds like he is getting better. Why must we worry so and do everything to make them well, so that they can go forth and do evil? Of course, we never did any of that stuff, not us, oh, no.

  10. glad Amonte got out tonight. sorry that he made you worry. Hope he did finally get home ok. I absolutely love your sense of humor. You are going to "kick another hole in his ass". 11. Uh-oh. I was thinking about Amonte this morning...wondering if he had fun at da' club. Guess he had a little too much fun. Hope he finally made it home safe, and sound. And, I'm so jealous that you got to go to one of those paint-your-pot places. We used to have girls' night every Wednesday at the one back in Alaska. They would even let us bring our own wine. It was a blast! And, then we move to, well, here...and, there's no such thing. Hmmm...do I smell a business venture coming on? LOL!

  12. i am seeing faux-hawks EVERYWHERE now...it is such a boy thing that left me totally clueless as a mom to girls, girls who won't let a scissors touch their hair. Man, if I had a boy or two they'd totally have FHs.

Hope Amonte got home safe and sound and took the beating he deserved.

  17. I hope he made it home, mow I feel bad for every time I broke curfew and thought it wasn't a biggy, thanks for the guilt trip:) It amazes me how "in to" the games they get. The boy would often tell me of his "triumphs" and I would say almost like it was real huh? He didn't get it.

  20. I feel for you. The first time Shortman went out with his brother and sister, I swear I was up until they got home at 2 (they went to the Palace for a concert), THEN because I was so worked up, I couldn't get to sleep until 4.

  22. Ah, yes. I remember being a teenager. I once went on a date with this guy my dad didn't like. Halfway through the date, my dad called me (on my brick-like cell phone which was state of the art at the time) and told me to come home immediately because there was an emergency. I freaked out and came home only to find that the "emergency" was that he didn't like the guy.

He laughed hysterically. I screamed hysterically. Ah, being a teenager.
