Do you got love for Her Majesty?

Peyton has been less than impressed with his baby sister lately. She is turning into a full fledged two year old. Recent comments include:

  • "Ava, you don't even try to be a nice girl."
  • "Why didn't I get a baby brother?"
  • "Ava needs her own bed mom. You should get her a crate!"
  • "Why do we have to keep her?"
  • "Ava's not as pretty as that baby on TV."
  • "Go away Ava. You stink and your nightgown is ugly."
  • "Gawd Ava. All you do is CRRRRRYYYYYY.

Although, I do have to admit (between you and me) the crate idea was tempting for a moment.

  1. What a cutie! I love that avatar photo of her in a tutu. Peyton needs to learn that sisters were created to bug the crap out of their brothers. He could have stuff thrown at him all the time like Maggie does with her brother. I wonder if a crate would work at our house?

  2. LOL! When I was pg with Jessamine I read all sorts of horror stories about the older child trying to kill the new baby and such. Max and Jessamine get along fine, but Jessamine is just the type to remove all the screws from the baby swing or something.

  3. The terrible twos will pass but she will always be one tough cookie. That is how Abby is anyway! She is 3 and 1/2 so I guess I can't still blame it on the twos. Abby has got the two brothers and three boy cousins that drive her crazy and boy does she drive them crazy!
Ava is so sweet looking, I don't believe what her brothers are saying about her!!!! Love, love the picture of her in her tutu!!!

  9. She looks so innocent, but so does Bianca! She's my little shit too. But, you gotta love them (well Annika doesn't all that much). Needless to say, I feel your pain, my girls fight all the time, it's irritating.

  10. Awe, what a face! Who could be mean to that sweet face? Of course she's tough, she's got 3 brothers!!! Just wait 'til she's in high school and trying to date boys and her brothers chase everybody off.

We often refer to Thomas' playard as a crate.....ex. "john, put him in the crate and put baby einstein on for him." Is that bad!?!
Love the things your kids come up with :)

  17. Oh, you have no idea how many times a week Hazel tells me that she is done with "brother," and we can take him back to the hospital now. Either that, or she's telling me that I should have brought home a sister instead. Glad to know our house isn't the only one! LOL!
