The Boss

Tonight:
Peyton: Mom, Can I PLEEEAAASSSEEE eat in the living room?
Me: Ah. No.
Peyton: But I'm 6!!! I'm almost a grown up!

Later:
Cade: You're not the boss of me Peyton.
Peyton: Yeah I am! I'm 6 dude.

Later:
Peyton: Mom, next year I'll be a mean grader. *sigh* Then I have to get a girlfriend and a job.

Ps: This pic was taken after the first "real" snowstorm of the year. Peyton was outside nearly all day. The next morning he came in the bathroom and sat on the floor with a big sigh and asked "Is winter over yet mom? I'm tired of the cold already". When I told him we still had a long way to go he went back to his bed and cried. I feel the same way...do you think he's too young to have him treated for seasonal affective disorder??? :)

  1. LOL he's taking being 6 to the limit. I feel the same way about winter, Christmas is done so snow can be too.

  2. Heh. The best cure for seasonal affective disorder is to be outside playing. But maybe he used up all his enthusiasm by pigging out on winter?
There is nothing more fun than going sliding with kids, especially when they wipe out, but then, I have an evil streak hehe.

  3. LOL, that is too funny! Sounds like something one of my kids would say. We mess with them really bad when they pull that, "I too big, I'm the boss junk" and let them be the boss. We make them take care of us, like a real grown up. It gets old in about 5 minutes and they are ready to be little again.

  4. He sure is a cute lil' guy! I'm so over winter as well. I can't wait to get back to NC! All my friends back there keep complaining that there isn't any snow, and it's in the 60's. Hell, I say, "Bring it on!" I'm tired of the cold.

  8. "I'm 6 dude"... hilarious!

I concur that it is time for the snow and cold to move along. It's been winter for what? 10 days???? UGH.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful New Year and I hope to see you often in 2008. Take care. Kellan

  10. The grass is always greener. The kids can't wait til the snow comes, then they want the snow gone so they can play baseball. Can't they just be happy with what they got? Never! Hey, my aunt's nickname for my 7 year old was "the Boss".

Play nice in the sand box or I'll smack you in the face with a shovel.
