I'm gonna blog...No wait...I'm going to watch Braveheart

Ok.  So I suck at Blogging.  Truly suck.  I have good intentions.  I think "WOW! I am so going to blog that" and then I never do.  I tried making my kids individual emails to send them my thoughts and memories.  I can't do that either.  I could say I'm too busy.  But truth is I'm lazy and unmotivated. But then Erik had THE NERVE to go and start a blog.  This pissed me off.  Why?  I have no clue but it did.  It was like calling me out for being a lazy ass.

So I'm gonna show him.  I'm going to blog.  The problem is I feel like I have to go back and fill in all that I have missed.  I know I don't.  But my OCD says I do.  So if your bored (and if you are reading my blog you must be) feel free to troll it for oldies but goodies.

Drowning

It's cold.  It's rainy. It's dark. It's nearly June.  If one more person tells me "Summer's here are amazing"....meaning the month of July...I'm going to cut a bitch.

Yesterday there was a glimpse of sun.  I was literally giddy.  I wanted to throw myself down in the parking lot and do sun angels.  In five minutes it was gone.  Gray returned and so did my gloomy mood.

Let it Snow...Outside

I had all these witty posts written in my head for the past few days-obviously they never actually found their way out of there. In my defense it has been a rather hectic week. Yes, it is normally crazed at the love shack-but it has been excessively so. Luckily my back is feeling better and the terrorists can no longer taunt me safely from across the room. The holidays seem to have them all worked up-even Her Majesty is getting in on the action. Yeah. She only looks sweet.

Tuesday night I bathed all of the little soot gremlins and allowed Cade extra time to soak since he has not been feeling well. I planted my hindend at the kitchen table and busied myself finishing our Advent project. Seeing as the countdown had already begun I figured maybe I had procrastinated long enough.

From my stack of laminated cubes I saw Ava head to the bathroom. I chose to ignore it and hope for the best. After all she had already poured the $22 bottle of Noodle and Boo shampoo down the drain a week ago. Moments later I heard the sound of laughter above the clammer of my eyelet setting. A cold chill ran down my spine. Experience has taught me that laughter from more than one child simultaneously is almost always bad. Worried that getting up may upset the carefully constructed mess I was making I smartly sent Peyton to observe. Over the pounding that was now in my head I heard the bathroom door shut and lock. Silence. Followed by hysterical laughter. I screamed for Amonte to check on them. No response. No surprise either. I hollered to the terrorists. More laughter.

I cautiously placed my fine specimen of holiday craftiness onto the table and prayed for a miracle. Savily I picked the lock while the kids continued their mayhem (being a juvenile delinquent does come in handy on occasion). I flung the door open and Ava and Peyton made a quick run for it; leaving Cade standing naked in the tub with a fist full of wet goo in his hand and a look of fear on his face.

I surveyed the room with confusion. Aside from the floor looking like the aftermath of a Tsunami I really didn't see anything that could have caused even giggles. I mean flooding the bathroom floor is a fairly regular and uneventful occurrence. My gaze went back to Cade's hand. Then I was struck on the head by something large...and sloppy. Maniacal laughter from the naked one and his accomplices in the hall. Slowly I looked up. The ceiling and walls were covered in giant wads of sopping wet toilet paper. Like a freakish spitball fiesta.

Apparently you can have a snowball fight inside. All it takes is two rolls of toilet paper (of course they have to be the last two in the house), a bubble bath and an evil genius. Here's hoping I make it to the New Year.

Molehills into Mountains

Since this blog was meant to be a journal of sorts I have lots to update. Letters scratched on napkins, words and events to preserve, photos to cherish, milestones to commemorate. It seems overwhelming to have so much to catch up on when life continues to move forward. I always feel like I'm behind. Not just on my blog-laundry, bills, photos, baby books, scrapbooks. I'm trying to do bits and pieces everyday and enjoy any progress. It seems so easy to build Mountains and so difficult to climb them.

The Longest Post about Nothing Ever

Yesterday was one of those days that just never stopped. I was up at 6 and out the door by 7:45. Dropped Cade at school and headed to my ritualistic Tuesday morning counseling session. Spent an hour working on my self esteem issues. Left feeling as if I had been hit by a truck. Returned home and took one look at Peyton's shaggy hair and thought "damn". His spring concert was that evening and he looked like an urchin. Plus we was to wear "spring clothes" and the kid grew a foot over the winter...leaving him basically with nothing.

I picked Cade up at 11 with Peyton, Ava and dear hubby in tow and headed to our illustrious mall. Our mall doesn't even have a food court if that tells you anything. Peyton is OBSESSED with Tom Morrello from Rage Against the Machine. Tom happens to be bald. I think this may have something to do with the fact that he is in his 40's but Peyton is sure it is a fashion statement. After much debate I agreed to let him have it cut down to the scalp. It was a darn good thing too...because she found a huge blood sucking tick embedded in his little egg head. After I nearly died from humiliation I came around enough to worry about Lyme disease. I quickly called the health dept and they said as long as his little friend was alive we could drop him by and have him tested. I will NEVER put my kids to bed after ball practice without checking their craniums for critters again.

Cade also got a new do. The mohawk he has been wanted for a year. First I had her cut it into a fau hawk. He was not pleased at all. So I figured what the hell. I let one kid shave it bald I may as well let him have his beloved hawk. It actually turned out pretty cute. I wish I would have taken before and during photos-but I'm a slacker and I was having PTSD from the whole blood filled microorganism thing.

Not a great pic but Cade with his "hawk"

Peyton now bald, with tick removed.

Then it was on a mission to find an outfit for Peyton's evening festivities. I picked out the cutest shorts and top and thought I was done. However, the shorts had a faint pink line in them. Peyton announced at the top of his lungs that he was "not wearing pink ever" and whined that I was trying to "make him a girl". I sent him out to wait with Mark and picked a more manly orange top and some plaid shorts. I was rather proud that I managed to escape the evil clutches of the Gap with no purchases for Her Majesty. Will wonders never cease???

Next we had the misfortune of eating at Applebee's. It literally is the only place to dine in the mall unless you want pretzels. It is always horrible and I have no clue why we continue to put ourselves at risk for food poisoning. The kids behaved about equal to the service we had. Lovely meal. Wonderful company.

Finally, I made the mistake of dropping into one of the shoe stores in search of sandals for the boys. I found some really cute Nike's marked $9.99 in each of their sizes. When I had Mark bring them into try them on only Cade like them. To make a long story short we headed to the cashier with a pair of sandals for Cade and some Crocs for Ava. This particular store only keeps 1 shoe in a box and they have to go to the back and get a mate. No big deal right? Well 20 minutes later she brings us a mate for Cade, same size, same type of shoe, but different style. WTF. 10 minutes later I find the mate and they ring up at $19.99. They could have been $50 at this point and I wouldn't have cared. I just wanted the hell out of there. Peyton decided he wanted Skeechers Airators so we headed to JCPenney's. Quickly found them and thought we were on our way when we realized Ava was carrying a purse full of hair goodies from the shoe store. We walked them back and the lovely sales girl had no clue.

Finally we took Peyton's little blood sucking friend to the health department for eval. They assured Mark it was a dog tick but sent it off for testing. Peyton spent the rest of the evening telling people he had a dog "dick" in his hair. Nice.

We somehow managed to get everyone out the door and to the concert not only on time but CLEAN. I know I was stunned too! The moment we sat down Amonte asked for money for a drink and then disappeared and never came back. The concert was fun and the kids all did a great job.

Cade and his friend trying to scare me.

Ava when she saw her brother on the stage.
.
Peyton posing after a great success.

Ava busted for throwing rocks.

As we were leaving Amonte showed up. Apparently he had decided to go time for the track team. Peyton was not amused at all by this. His feelings were quiet hurt. I was totally pissed but Amonte cares less what I think or feel. I do believe he felt bad for wounding his brother. Peyton is still making him pay for it today.

We finished up the evening at The Dairy Queen which was a total mad house. There were several ball teams there and lots of families from the concert. We got the kids their goodies and let them eat them in the back of the truck. Ava made a complete mess and managed to look adorable while doing so.

Needless to say everyone was wiped out and went to bed with no major drama. Yet another miracle. I'm not worthy.

Chunks anyone?

You may have notice from yesterdays post that I was not having a good day. I did manage to get the kids in bed on time and I had just settled down in front of the computer when I heard it. Gagging. I turned around and there is Cade "Me not feel good" in a whiny little voice. I tried to race him to the bathroom but he vomited all over the kitchen floor. While I was cleaning that up (and trying to keep Norm from eating it) he vomited in the bathroom sink. Plugging it up with chunks. Have I mentioned before that I don't do vomit?

I managed to get everything cleaned up with out hurling myself and put him on the couch to watch Casper. When Mark got home from work I warned him that Cade was on the couch and not feeling well. Within 5 minutes Mark was back "we have a problem". When he carried Cade to bed he noticed a horrid smell. Peyton had thrown up in his sleep. It was everywhere. He was covered. Mark actually asked me "should we wake him up?" Are you fucking kidding me???? No let's let him sleep in puke all night.

I woke Peyton and showered him. This time I did blow chunks as it smelled really bad and he was plastered with it. I even had to dig it out of one ear. While I cleaned up the bathroom Mark let Peyton drink an entire bottle of water. Guess who puked in his bed 15 minutes later?

It was a lovely end to a stellar day. Luckily today was emesis free. Just complaints of ouchie tummies.

Now here is the questions:

  • How the hell do you vomit in your sleep and never even wake up?
  • Aside from a time when you were so hammered you passed out-have any of you ever done this?
  • What is the best way to clean chunks of clothes and bedding before you wash it? In the summer I use the hose and power blast it off. Luckily for me Norm managed to gobble some of it off the laundry before I got to it.
  • Is there anything that gets that rank smell out-once carpet cleaner has failed?
Help a sister out!!!

Oh Bother

Why do I bother? Really? Mark didn't work tonight so we decided to take the terrorists out to eat. Yeah all four of them. I know what am I crazy? Well, yes. Actually I am. Occasionally I get this misguided belief that maybe, just maybe I could sit down to a meal with my lovely children and be spared public humiliation. I know your all laughing at me. Stop it.

So we ventured out to one of Hicksville's fine dining establishments. By fine dining I mean we had a waitress, there was no buffet and the plates weren't paper. In less than five minutes Amonte had his I-Pod on-Ava had thrown all her silverware on the floor and was trying to pull my shirt off -Peyton and Cade were beating the crap out of each other. Surprisingly, we didn't have to ask for our bill.

After attempting to eat my meal with both Cade and Ava mauling me, Peyton crying to sit with me and Amonte permanently damaging his ear drums I was more than ready to head home to bed. Mark took Peyton to spend the night with my mom and I ventured out into the snow with the three remaining darlings.

Ava is down to only having her pacifier (her "boo") in the car and in bed. Of course "boo" was no where to be found so she SCREAMED the entire way home. This greatly upset Cade and his ultra sensitive ears so he had to scream too. Oh, plus I could hear Amonte's crap rap like I had the head phones on. James Blunt at full blast is not relaxing. Who knew.

Now Ava and Cade are sleeping in my bed with their arms wrapped around each other. Amonte still has his I-Pod on. Mark has assumed his position on the couch and Norm is snoring in his crate. I hope my mom is having as much luck with Peyton Church.

Sweet Dreams.

Wheezer

Nope. Not the band. Me. I have lots of updates. Some funny, some sad. Some just messed up. But I'm going to start with the lamest first. Me. Cause I know how much you all love me. I like to think you enter my little piece of the world to laugh with me...but yeah I know. It's at me. But hey that's cool too.

I have been sick as hell. It started with the flu and nicely progressed into a cheerful case of Acute Asthmatic Bronchitis. My nursing career has done wonders for my health. I had never had a cough in my entire life prior to joining this caring profession. But now I have had so many cases of pneumonia that I have asthma.

Of course I waited four days before going to the Dr. because I was diligently trying to care for everyone else and and make Ava the perfect cupcakes for her birthday. When I nearly passed out putting Ava into the car after her Dr. appointment I finally broke down and went.

After nearly five days on steroids I am still wheezy and now I am bitchy too. However, I can at least make it to the potty with out nearly going into respiratory arrest so I guess that is some improvement. I'm sure I have lost a few brain cells along the way due to hypoxia so be sure and dumb down your comments.

In other news, I tried to go top Achievers (said to be scrapbook heaven) only to find it closed for the day : "due to circumstances beyond our control". No big deal it's only an hour drive. Did a few new scrap pages. Happy with some. Need to post pics. Get right on that. Started "dieting" have lost 4 pounds so far. Of course a head full of snot and coughing up lung tissue does kinda stifle your appetite. Got to see my adorable nephew "Charmin" but couldn't kiss all over him since I'm a sicky. Went to a very disappointing breastfeeding conference. Disappointing in that it was not well presented (although the info was great) and in the knowledge that it will never happen at Big Medicine....where breastfeeding is still like *SIGH*.

Hmm. That's it for me. Oh, I guess you could add fight with Mark, contemplate selling Norm to research and watching too much bad TV. I'm super exciting aren't I? Now I know you'll really be interested when I post on the terrorists!

Go Giants!

Go Giants! Go Giants! Go Giants! * I'm doing the cabbage patch*

I just watched the Giants win the Super Bowl! Yeah! Of course my screaming when Eli hustled out of the pocket with hands all over him woke up Ava. But I'll gladly pay the fine.

I'm not sure what makes me happier: that the Giants won...or that the smug, arrogant bastard Randy Moss did not have the winning touch down.

Now I'm going to sit by the phone and hope that Eli calls and asks me to go to Disney with him. Umm...do you think it would be too kinky to ask him to invite his brother?

Egging it on

Here at the love shack I promote self expression. I try to get them to "use their words" and desire them to be creative. I mean anybody can say stupid or butthead! Do you want to be common? I also encourage them to try new things. For example this Christmas Peyton and Cade discovered that like big brother Amonte they love eggnog! Personally I can only swallow the stuff if it is rum laden.

The other night I was hanging up clothes in the bedroom and I could hear the three little ones "playing together".

Peyton: Your an eggnogger!

THUNK. Loud laughter.

Cade: No! You're an eggnoger!

THUNK. More laughter.

This went on for a while. Calls of "eggnogger" and laughter. I already know laughter at my house is bad. I should have went and looked.

Next thing I know Cade is SCREAMING! He comes running to me holding his eye and bawling.

Me:What happened????

Cade: (Through the sobs)Ava egged me!!

Apparently they were "egging" each other with Ava's 1/2 dozen wooden eggs that she got for her kitchen....resulting in an ouchy eye and a few dents in the wall.

I have to say"eggnogger" is some inspired name calling. And as an added bonus my daughter does not throw like a girl (unlike her mother). Since egging has been mastered I will have to offer some inventive opportunities for TP'ing.

Kitchen Science

CAUTION: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME. The following experiment was done in a controlled environment under the supervision of a professional.

Subject: Adorable. Nearly two. Known to have an attitude.

Environment: Cramped Kitchen.

Study Participants: Frustrated mother, antagonizing siblings, begging dog.

Procedure: Place subject into highchair while kicking and screaming. Provide her with glass of milk. Place bowel of Spaghettios (which antagonizing siblings have requested for nourishment) on tray. Turn back on subject.

Outcome: Sippy cup of milk thrown on floor in 2 seconds flat. Lips in pout position. One bite of Spaghettios placed in subjects mouth. Frustrated mother turn back. Loud thud followed by hysterical laughter and dog running from under high chair.

Conclusion: A bowel of Spaghettios tossed off a high chair at maximum velocity by subject will produce a splatter pattern of 10 feet high and approximately 5 feet wide. This will induce antagonizing siblings into fits of laughter which they are unable to recover from. Begging dog will have quick and easy meal. Subject will be satisfied.

Side note: Splatter not instantly cleaned will have to be scrubbed off at a later time. I do mean SCRUBBED.

Exit Only

Amonte came home from the hospital on Friday. It has been a hectic weekend with twice daily Iv antibiotics to be hung, scheduling nurses and daily wound care. I was hopeful that the wound would be looking somewhat better by now and not be quiet so painful but sadly that is not the case. Luckily the nurse that has been coming the past few days is very patient and has a great sense of humor about things. I feel it's important that Amonte be comfortable and able to maintain a sense of dignity...as much as possible in this situation. He seems to be coping fairly well by playing video games, myspace and inappropriate movies. I on the other hand am hanging by a thread. My house is a total pit. I'm behind on correspondence in all forms. I have no Christmas shopping done..or shopping for my Sister in Law's baby shower or Peyton's birthday both of which are Saturday. I plan to partake in some heavy retail therapy which will hopefully pull me together somewhat....Thanks so much to all of you for your kind words, support and prayers. You have been my duct tape.

Who am I???

I am sadly behind on my blog reading. I will be catching up tonight. I also know I have been TAGGED! FINALLY! And those will also be done tonight as will the word and TFT....seeing as on Turkey day I will most likely be too hammered to type a single word...much less have a thought. I'm off to go shopping with the darling Ava for the perfect outfit for her to wear on Thanksgiving. God I love having a daughter. In the main time I leave you with this....

  • Why? Oh Why? Is Cade calling ME Boston Mannor? When I ask him he laughs hysterically. When I ask Peyton he laughs hysterically. When I ask Ava she just looks at me. When I ask Amonte he says "who knows, he is wierd". When I ask Mark he says "huh?" without even looking away from the tv. Any clue? Even a tiny one?

Every grey hair has a reason

Things that actually came out of my mouth tonight:

  • DON'T stick that in your butt!
  • WHO pee'd on this?
  • WHY is there toothpaste all over the bathroom?
  • WHY is there honey mustard all over the dog?
  • WHO put my underwear in the toilet?
  • WHY are there stickers all over your sisters back?
  • FOR GOD SAKE keep your tongue to yourself.
  • Spitting IS NOT a sport.
  • YES you have to wear underwear to school.
  • NO I did not fart.
  • NO farting is not a sport.
  • Hitting your brother but NOT calling him a name does NOT mean you are being nice.
  • Giving you brother 1/2 of your eaten chicken nugget is NOT sharing.
  • YES, I think Spongebob does wear underwear.
  • WE DO NOT EAT OUT OF THE GARBAGE CAN.
Mind you, I got out of work late. All of this was in a 2 and 1/2 hour period.

Through the looking glass

Highlights of weekend fun and games.

Things the boys fought over:

  • Can monsters with little arms open doors?
  • Would dinosaurs make good pets? (They both agreed that they would-except not dinosaurs with little arms because you would always have to open the doors for them).
  • Who took a bath first, went to bed first, brushed their teeth first.
  • Who would be 7 first. The whole birth order thing doesn't seem to matter.
  • Who scribbles and who colors.
Best tattle:
  • By Peyton (of course) "MOOOOOMMMM! Cade keeps saying FACE at me!" Me" Um Peyton, that's not a bad word." Peyton "DUH! I KNOW THAT BUT HE IS BUGGING ME."
Best injury:
  • Peyton got in a fight with a rocking chair and lost. Slight contusion under right eye.
Craft project run amock:
  • Hand print turkeys for the kids and the 2 little ones I was babysitting on Saturday. I think my table is ruined. Clothes certainly were. Tears and paint flinging were involved. Googly glue on eyes will eventually pass in the stool....won't they?
Best car conversation:
  • Cade"I'm not going to say a peep the whole way to church. I'm going to be really quiet. Because my tummy is screaming -I want cake! I want cake! And if I open my mouth that is all that will come out." 30 seconds later "Will there be cake at the party later?" 10 seconds later "Will it be chocolate cake?" 30 seconds later when Amonte and I were laughing at a man wearing his dog as a scarf "MOOOOOMMM! BE QUIET! I NEED PEACE AND QUIET ALREADY!"
All things Norm:
  • Brought home by the neighbor x 3.
  • Devoured 2 bones purchased on Friday before Sunday am.
  • New stuff toy demolished in exactly 10 minutes.
Things accomplished:
  • Not a single, solitary freaking one.
Number of Tylenol consumed:
  • 16
AHHHH. The work week.

Fire! Fire!

I'm so glad that I am able to entrust the care of my children to "professionals" and family. Lets take yesterday for an example of the stellar care my boys are getting:

I arrived at childcare to get Cade and found a note taped in his locker. It read :Dear Mrs. Carpenter, Cade complained all days that his eyes were burning and he was crying at nap time. First I hate being called Mrs. Carpenter. Second, did ya think to call me? When I walk in the class I know instantly why his eyes are burning. His face is beat red and he was burning up. At home his temp read 102 axillary (under the arm people). Huh. My eyes burn to when I'm on FIRE.

Peyton hates to go to childcare, especially after school. He does not like to ride the pig bus and wants to ride the zebra bus home (as you recall he made that decision his self a week ago). Since Amonte is nearly 16 and is done with cross country we agreed he would get Peyton off the bus on school days and I would pay him what I pay childcare. I mean seriously...get him off the big yellow bus, that drives right pass the house and plop him on noodle net until I get home...maybe throw him a little snack? How bad can ya fuck that up? Yeah, pretty bad. He did NOT get Peyton off the bus. He was on the toilet when the bus went by. The back door was locked so Peyton had to beat on it to get Amonte to finally get his ass off the computer (never mind that he lost all computer privileges weeks ago). Then he wouldn't let Peyton play noodle net as promised because as Peyton so lovingly tattled "he was on My Face looking at girls with big boobs"-NICE. Peyton ate 1/2 a bag of mini marshmallows for snack and fell asleep on the couch. The dog did not get fed because quote "I was too busy watching Peyton". The mail did not get brought in because "he didn't know if the new mail box was ours". No, I am not kidding.

Maybe I should train darling Norm to guard the kids. He may be my best option.

Is animal control watching????

This morning I woke up late. I know you are all surprised by that. I had left my scrubs in the dryer last night and I knew they would be all wrinkled. I have issues with wrinkled clothes. I went to the dryer, shut the door and turned it on. Suddenly I heard howling and THUNK, THUNK, THUNK. Instantly I SCREAMED "OH FUCK! THE CAT!!!!" I opened the door and out pops my sweet little Trixie. Completely unfazed. She didn't even give me a dirty look. Cade and I totally manhandled her with kisses and hugs and she just looked at us like "what?". I felt soooo bad. She is truly the sweetest most patient cat. Now had Sybil jumped in there, Norm, or maybe even one of the kids...I may have waited a bit longer to open the door. But truly this was an accident. I hope she forgives me.

Freaky Friday

Strange days and nights in in the house that love and insanity built:

  • Ava only woke up once last night. I woke up on time.
  • I took a shower and got ready for work with NO interruptions.
  • Mark willingly took the kids to breakfast and the sitter despite having an incurable case of painted hand syndrome.
  • I made it to work before 8:30 and the shuttle was waiting for me.
  • I had a patient who actually wanted to breastfeed. Did not want to give a bottle or formula.
  • I quickly found a birthday present for mr. popularity (Peyton) to take to a party on Saturday. I also found an adorable wedding card for a great price.
  • While in traffic I looked over to see a woman eating a jar of baby food. No baby in the car. Fruit or vegetable?
  • The boys had no time outs at childcare. WTF?
  • Cade complained of a mild ear ache. He insists that ants crawled in there to sleep because it's getting cold. Let's hope thats not true.
  • The kids fell asleep early watching the Wizard of Oz. Norm is snoring in his crate. Amonte is with his dad and Mark won't be home from work for hours.
God even throws me a bone once in a while! I think I'll hit the haystack early tonight...Sweet dreams!

I love my job

  • Yesterday I took Ava to the Dr. and we left with 3 RX's. One for antibiotics, one for breathing treatments and another for steroids. I felt guilty but I had to take her to the laundry mat to wash my comforter...thanks to Cade's late night gift. The laundry nazi kept yelling at Ava not to touch the carts and I was about to bitch slap her old ass by the time we got done.
  • While we were at hellmat the childcare called to inform me that Peyton did not get off the bus. After several frantic calls we found him at home. Luckily Amonte was there to let him in. He had decided that he did not "feel like" going to childcare so he just rode the bus home. I'm so glad that he took it upon himself to make that decision.
  • While Amonte was "watching" Peyton he fell asleep and Norm ate a pair of jeans and a shirt. Peyton polished off a good majority of the Halloween candy. Thanks my darling oldest child.
  • Cade poured an entire bottle of bath wash down the tub drain. Imagine my surprise when it was Peyton's turn and the tub is filling up with mounds of bubbles.
  • Norm was let out of the house too many times to count and I think my neighbor is damn sick of bringing him home. Maybe I should suggest that he keep him.
  • The boys got their haircut. They had been growing it out because they wanted "High School Musical hair" and I had really gotten to like it longer...especially Cade's because his is soooo thick. But today the both got fau-hawks. Of course it was a disaster because the dumb ass that cut Cade's hair cut it WAY shorter than Peyton's and Cade really wanted a taller hawk...he cried in the chair. I felt so bad for him especially since the haircut was his idea and Peyton decided on it as an after thought
  • They spent the rest of the afternoon eating a variety of foods and burping in each others faces. They then moved on to eating combinations of food and burping in each others faces to see who could get a stinkier burp. I'm so proud of their creativity and their ability to work together.
  • Ava put cars in the toilet. I was just glad she was up and around and no longer up my ass.
  • Ava colored all over Cade's legs with marker and he let her. He is so cooperative like that.
  • Peyton built a fort in their room, trapped himself inside it and took a 3 hour nap in there. He will be up alll night long.
  • It SNOWED. Need I say more.
Tommorow I'm going to work!!! YAhhoooooo!

Large ears are good for listening

Over heard while I was in the bathroom last night, pieces of a conversation:
Peyton: Wanna see something cool?
Peyton: Go get the scissors.
Peyton: No get mom's really sharp ones.
Peyton: Keep Ava over there in case something goes wrong.

Pieces of a conversation overheard this morning:
Cade: Dad said no.
Peyton: Ask mom.
Cade: No dad said no.
Peyton: But mom is the boss.
Cade: No dad is, he is bigger.
Peyton: Yeah but only by a tiny bit and remember mom has the check book.
